Shot Saturday August 27 around 6:30 pm after arriving in Penn Station on one of the last Amtrak trains north in advance of Hurricane Irene. Camera: my Olympus point-and-shoot
And it rained for 40 days and 40 nights…
Yesterday, my brother and I went to a National Geographic Traveler workshop on nature photography. The speakers — Eddie Soloway and Michael Melford — were excellent, and Doug and I walked away with some great tips and ideas for our own photography.
On the way home, Doug wanted to get a picture of some of the flooded side roads. I snapped a few as well, but didn’t like any of them. Until a young Asian man appeared on his bicycle, fording the flooded closed road.
